- How is the language in this text similar to and/or different from the language you use in everyday conversation?
- Because it began as an oral story, "Earth on Turtle's Back" can be found in multiple text versions. How important is it for a story to be repeated word for word? Is meaning embellished, distorted, lost, or enhanced in the retelling?
ANSWER
- The language in the short story is similar to today world because most of the words we use on a daily. For example ''I know'', "to", "are" , ''there'' ,''tried'' ,and ect.
- Also how in the story almost all the sentences are short that how when people text now a days there short sentences. Also everything easy to follow and read.
- It is important to tell the story because if the story not told word by word the story can have a total different meaning. Also the story always better when it told word by word most of the time not all the time.
