When nick returns to west egg he thought his house was on fire but it was gasby houst lit but the was no oarty but gasby was walking over to nick and has nick invite daisy over for tea the next day but gasby want everything perfect he also offer a job to nick that would pay better but nick declined when daisy show up it was awkward for everyone. Gasby try to make nick happy he tries to invite him to colony island and then for a swim but nick say he to tired. Nick leaves for a half an hour to leave them alone and when he came back everything was less awkard.
